Policies for website and event registration, 2020 Teachers’ Big Days Out

The 2020 Teachers’ Big Days Out (TBDO ) event is organised by the Department for Education and the cultural institutions taking part (as listed on the TBDO website). In registering for the event, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Refunds will not be possible except in exceptional circumstances.

Any cancellations and requests for refunds will need to supply documentation as to the circumstances and will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Cancellations must be received in writing to the TBDO event committee before 5pm Friday 10 January 2020.

You can transfer your registration/ nominate a replacement delegate at no additional cost until 5pm Wednesday 8 January.

No refunds are available for registered delegates who fail to attend part or all of the event, from 15-17 January 2020.

PAYMENT OF FEES

All registration fees are payable in advance of the 2020 TBDO event using Eventbrite.

LOSS AND INJURY

All conference participants are advised to procure their own insurance to cover all risks including (but not limited to) costs of travel, accommodation, registration fees, personal property, health and medical expenses, injury, death and all other risks. The conference, host organisation and organisers will not be held liable for any claims under any circumstances.

GENERAL DISCLAIMER

All details contained in the TBDO program, timetable, session details and on the website are subject to change.

TBDO committee reserves the right to, without notice,

  • Cancel/alter scheduled sessions where minimum attendance numbers are not reached
  • Change the location of any event and substitute speakers for any event

In the event of the TBDO conference being cancelled TBDO committee will notify registered attendees via email, prior to the event date to offer a refund in full. .

PRIVACY

Your registration details will be shared with the cultural institutions taking part in the TBDO event.

The TBDO event organisers may use and disclose your name and image in any material, including promotional material in connection with the TBDO event or future events without any compensation to you.

By registering for TBDO you are providing permission for your photograph to be used in our publications, website and other promotional material associated with TBDO and the cultural organisations involved. If you do not consent to your photograph/s being used, please contact us by email or by phone, 08 8463 5915.

AUDIO AND VIDEO RECORDING

Audio and video recording is strictly not permitted during the TBDO opening event, except by the organisers.

Registration Instructions

Step 1:
PLAN your Big Day Out sessions before registering. If you have colleagues who would also like to attend, you may like to plan your TBDO sessions together before registering. There are limited places for each session. For more information about the sessions, click on the icon next to the session titles. You can also download and print the detailed program here.

Step 2: Register for the event (Eventbrite link).
You will need to select an activity for each of the 9 available sessions. (NB There is an option to select “I do not wish to attend this session” if you can’t attend the full 3 days).

NB: Be sure to have your selections ready prior to starting the registration process. Click confirm when you have completed your selections for all 9 sessions.

Step 3: Check your email inbox…you should receive an email from Eventbrite that includes your ticket and sessions.

Step 4: Save your ticket to your mobile device and bring with you to the event. (If you don’t have a mobile device, print your ticket and bring that with you)

Changes will not be possible later than 7 business days before the event, and are subject to availability
